Based out of the budding and historical capital Cairo, the Maison Pyramide Factory was founded in 2016 with the aim of consulting and establishing fashion brands and companies in the Egyptian market. The Factory was created out of a clear need for a fashion market and the establishment of a fashion industry in Egypt. It now serves as a platform of know-how and expansion for budding designers to venture into regional and the international markets.

Through nurturing of rising talents, as well as established ones, we hope to create a strong bridge connecting Egypt with the MENA region and the world, allowing the brands to expand strategically. Furthermore we aim at introducing international brands to the local scene to create an exchange of fashion styles and experiences to enrich the local market. Together with our network of contacts, our experience, internationality, background and perseverance we offer innovation and high aesthetics in everything that we create.

We take chances, make statements and believe in the power of collaboration.

Martina Spetlova

Having previously studied chemistry in Prague, Martina decided to pursue the road of fashion. She went on to take on a fashion textile course, graduating from Central Saint Martins with an MA with distinction. Having launched her brand in 2011, Spetlova’s love for the sciences still manifests itself to this day on in the way she experiments with textiles to create her luxury womenswear collections.

Martina always maintains an ethical stance in her work and the leather sourced is always of the highest quality by-product carefully sourced leather. The brand collaborates with ECCO, the world’s most environmentally friendly tannery who runs its production on 75% biofuel along with strict water usage policy. Working with charities in Syria, Netherlands and Istanbul, Martina is working towards zero waste in production, precision cutting the leather by CNC machines and reusing any excess. Partnering with A Transparent Company powered by Provenancet, all garments from AW18/19 are accompanied by a tech chip that tells the story of the brand and the transparent production chain.

Working with a variety of materials to create innovative combinations of textures and colours, the brand has gained global attention with features in L’Officiel, Metal Magazine, Vogue US, Italy, WGSN Insider and more.
